Saturday, February 25, 2012, 6:30-8:30 -- CCHA Candlelight Walk

Enjoy a peaceful walk through the candlelit Copper Culture grounds.  Last year the weather was perfect and the luminarias gave just the right amount of light.  An easy one-mile hike on the marked trail will bring you back to the outdoor pavilion.  At the end enjoy a bonfire and hot chocolate or apple cider.  Pets on leashes, and snowshoes or sleds are allowed on the trail.  Admission is free but donations are welcome.  Come take advantage of Oconto's winter wonderland.

Saturday, May 19, 2012  -- Appraisal Fair

The Spring Meeting will be a bit different this time.  Mark Moran, antique appraiser, will be here to examine and appraise one item each for 40 registered participants.  The average appraisal time will be 4 minutes per item.  Although only 40 people will have items appraised non-participants are welcome to attend and enjoy the action.  It will be the Oconto version of Antiques Roadshow, which Mr. Moran has been a guest expert on.  Tents will be set up on the grounds of the Beyer Home Museum to accommodate the event.  More information will be available as the time gets closer but you can e-mail OCHS to reserve an appraisal time.
